Job summary

KC Care Management Inc is seeking an Activities Assistant in Durham, NC to brighten the lives of clients through engaging activities. You will plan, facilitate, and document daily programs, ensuring activities support well-being and meaningful engagement.

The role requires a caring, patient approach and the ability to work both independently and with a care team. Prior experience in activities or caregiving is preferred, with CPR/First Aid certification a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Cours es in recreation, social work, or healthcare is a plus.
• Prior experience in activities, recreation, caregiving, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead daily recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Engage participants in social, physical, cognitive, and creative programming.
• Monitor and document attendance, progress, and responses to activities.
• Set up and break down activity spaces and materials as needed.
• Collaborate with activities director and care team to tailor programs.
• Plan and execute special events, holidays, and community outings.
• Provide companionship and emotional support during activities.
