Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead daily recreational and therapeutic activities.

• Set up and break down activity spaces and materials as needed.
• Collaborate with activities director and care team to tailor programs.
• Plan and execute special events, holidays, and community outings.
• Provide companionship and emotional support during activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily recreational and therapeutic activities for residents or clients
• Engage participants in social, physical, cognitive, and creative programming to promote overall well-being
• Monitor and document participant attendance, progress, and responses to activities
• Set up and break down activity spaces, materials, and equipment as neededSet - lines removed.
• Collaborate with the activities director and care team to tailor programs to individual needs and interests
• Assist with planning and executing special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings
• Provide companionship and emotional support to participants during activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework in recreation, social work, or healthcare is a plus
• Prior experience in activities, recreation, caregiving, or a related field preferred
• Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly, disabled, or vulnerable populations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, upbeat attitude
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a care team
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling purposes
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
