Job summary

Oakmont of Burlingame seeks an Activity Assistant to organize and promote engaging activities for senior residents, supporting independence and quality of life. You will assist the Activity Director, coordinate events, and help create a welcoming, safe, and lively community.

You will recruit and schedule volunteers, communicate with residents and families, operate community vehicles, and collaborate with staff across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating activities with seniors.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive community vehicles.
• Proficient with MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating an engaging social atmosphere and promoting resident participation.
• Recruit, manage, and schedule Community Volunteers.
• Communicate effectively and with tact with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment and follow safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles and support transportation needs.
• Encourage teamwork and collaboration across departments.
