Job summary

Concordia University Chicago is seeking a Temporary Substitute Teacher for the Early Childhood Education Center in River Forest, IL. You will carry out daily tasks in place of the absent teacher and ensure smooth classroom operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• Six semester hours of Early Childhood education credits.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to the director and review daily plans.
• Maintain routines and follow lesson plans.
• Supervise student behavior in class and during activities.
• Prepare classroom materials and assist with cleanup.
• Ensure health and safety of children.
• Engage with small groups and free play time.
• Interact professionally with students and parents.
• Follow policies and standards set by DCFS/NAEYC/NAELS.
