Job summary

E&C Consultants is seeking an Energy Risk Manager to analyze global energy markets daily and provide proactive hedge recommendations for North American clients. You will assess market movements and guide fixing and unfixing decisions to optimize client risk exposure.

The role offers hybrid/remote work and requires us-based presence in Kentucky or Ohio, with opportunities to influence client strategies and risk management outcomes.

Job description

E&C advises a portfolio of large international companies on their risk management for buying electricity and natural gas. Every day, these customers have to take decisions on whether they will fix, not fix or unfix forward natural gas and electricity prices. E&C sets up a risk management strategy for these clients and gives pro‑active advice on those hedging decisions. We are searching for an energy risk manager to enforce our team. The energy risk manager plays a key role in analysing the markets and giving advice to clients on fixing and unfixing decisions.

This role is hybrid / remote, however our future colleague must be based within one of our US entities: Kentucky or Ohio.

• Every day you will make an analysis of the global energy markets and assess what they mean for our clients in North America
• Our ePoint system generates a list of possible hedge recommendations to clients
• You run through this list and decide whether to make the recommendations or not
