Job summary

Esri is seeking an Energy Utility Industry Specialist to inform, educate, and inspire Esri users and prospects in the Energy Utility sector. You will research market factors, craft campaigns, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to define, execute, and measure the Energy Utility marketing plan.

The role emphasizes deep GIS domain expertise, content development across webinars, stories, eBooks, blogs, and events, plus traveling to conferences and user groups to drive awareness and demand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Energy Utility industry.
• Knowledge of GIS and its applications in Energy Utility.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to multi-task with shifting priorities.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Industry Managers in engaging with marketing, sales, products, professional services, international distributors, education, and partner teams to deliver campaign tactics successfully.
• Support content cadence (webinars, customer stories, eBooks, social posts, blogs) to drive awareness and demand.
• Draw upon industry knowledge, research, writing, and collaboration skills.
• Prepare for, manage logistics and personally engage in events like conferences, tradeshows, seminars, webinars, and user group meetings.
• Contribute to the growth of the Energy Utility community on social media and Esri Community.
• Collaborate with marketing staff to create, manage, and execute campaign tactics and internal communications.
• Track campaign progress and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to move activities forward.
• Prepare content using industry knowledge and relationships (presentations, StoryMaps, eBooks, blogs/articles, technical papers, web, social, press, and advertising).
• Research, evaluate, and assist in strategic industry positioning and gain validation by internal and external experts.
• Develop deep GIS domain expertise to support internal requests, partner engagements, and customer meetings.
