Job summary

Esri is seeking an Industry Specialist to leverage Energy Utility sector experience and GIS knowledge to inform, educate, and inspire Esri users and prospects. You will craft and execute marketing campaigns, research market factors, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to shape the Energy Utility marketing plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist Industry Managers in coordinating with marketing, sales and product teams to deliver campaign tactics.
• Support content cadence (webinars, success stories, eBooks, social, blogs) to drive awareness and demand.
• Prepare presentations, white papers, and digital content using industry knowledge and relationships.
• Plan and engage in events such as conferences, tradeshows, seminars, webinars, and user group meetings.
• Collaborate with marketing to create and execute campaign tactics and internal communications to meet goals.
• Track campaign progress and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to advance activities.
• Develop industry content (presentations, StoryMaps, eBooks, blogs, technical papers, web, social, press).
• Research and support strategic industry positioning and obtain validation from experts.

Overview

Leverage your Electric/Gas Energy Utility industry experience to inform, educate, and inspire Esri users and prospects in the Energy Utility Industry. Identify, craft, and execute marketing campaigns that support targeted goals and objectives. As an industry specialist, you will research and report on financial, technological, and other factors that affect the Energy Utility market and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to help define, execute, and measure the Energy Utility marketing plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist Industry Managers in engaging with marketing, sales, products, professional services, international distributors, education, and partner teams to deliver campaign tactics successfully
• Support a regular cadence of content (such as webinars, customer success stories, eBooks, social media, blogs, and more) that drives awareness, demand, and community
• Draw upon industry knowledge, research, writing, and collaboration skills
• Prepare for, manage logistics, and personally engage in events such as conferences, tradeshows, seminars, webinars, and user group meetings
• Contribute to the growth of the Energy Utility community on social media and the Esri Community
• Work collaboratively with marketing staff to create, manage, and execute campaign tactics, including effective internal communications, to meet team goals
• Track campaign progress and proactively work with internal and external customers to move activities forward
• Prepare content using industry knowledge, research, and relationships, including presentations, StoryMaps, eBooks, blogs/articles, technical papers, web, social media, press, and advertising
• Research, evaluate, and assist efforts on strategic industry positioning and gain validation by internal and external experts
• Develop deep GIS domain expertise and be responsible for providing industry expertise to support internal requests, partner engagements, and customer meetings

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in the Energy Utility industry
• Knowledge of GIS and its application within the Energy Utility domain
• Excellent communication skills to include written, verbal, and presentation
• Highly organized, strongly self‑motivated, and have the ability to multi‑task activities with shifting priorities
• Quick learner with a positive attitude
• Strong decision-making, problem‑resolution, and creative thinking skills
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, GIS, geography, or related field

The estimated base salary range for this position is $96,096–$153,296 USD.
