Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking Engineering Interns in Chicago, IL to apply standard engineering techniques for design systems, correct and update designs, and assist lead engineers across projects. Responsibilities vary by market segment and team needs.

Candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in engineering, business, finance, or related fields, with a preferred 3.0 GPA. Prior internship or consulting experience and strong communication skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Pursuit of degree in a related field from an accredited program.
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program in a field related to the work.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Active involvement in campus, community or other activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States full-time without sponsorship.

Our Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Compensation

$19.00-39.00 Hourly

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The final agreed upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location.
