Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) offers a Summer Engineering Internship in Tulsa, OK for 10–12 weeks. You’ll work on real projects with mentors, learn from industry leaders, and gain hands-on experience in the electric utility sector.

Housing stipend of $1,500/month is provided for relocations over 45 miles. Requires ABET-accredited degree program and rising seniors; eligible for 18+ years old; relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Must have completed freshman year.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to plan, design and execute enterprise resource projects.
• Participate in design reviews and safety/operational standards activities.
• Assist in field visits to operational facilities and inspections/tests.
• Assist in developing databases, reports and dashboards for data-driven decisions.
