Job summary
Guidehouse's Commercial Strategy team within our Energy Providers practice are looking for an Associate Director to join our team. Your work will focus on supporting the leadership of electric and gas utilities as they look to solve their highest priority challenges, predominantly in and around new commercial and operating models to navigate the changing energy landscape.
You will be the project lead on engagements serving clients operating in the US as they grapple with the complex energy
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for client engagements.
- Seven or more years of post-graduation industry or consulting experience, or five+ with a Master's degree.
- Strategy consulting background with utilities/energy sector preference.
- Strong business and project management fundamentals.
- Proven business development experience in utilities or energy industry.
- Advanced Excel modeling and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to executives.
Responsibilities
- Understand client challenges and support energy transition initiatives.
- Own and develop client relationships within utilities and adjacent industries.
- Deliver strategy design and project workstreams; facilitate client meetings.
- Prepare reports and presentations; support documentation and RFP responses.
- Lead day-to-day internal teams across multiple workstreams; coach others.
- Provide input to directors and partners; guide project delivery strategically.
- Lead workshops; develop strategy storylines and operating models.
- Develop business models; analyze multiple scenarios and macro trends.
