Job summary

1898 & Co. is a global business, technology and security consultancy serving critical infrastructure industries. The Energy & Utilities Analyst role will assist with power system studies, evaluating plants and delivery systems, and supporting planning, due diligence and cost/benefit analyses.

You will work under supervision of a consultant or project manager to develop solutions for energy and utility clients, with opportunities to contribute to renewable development and performance benchmarking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office Suite).
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Campus or community involvement preferred.
• Legally authorized to work permanently in the posting country.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing solutions to technical and economic challenges for energy/utilities clients.
• Support power system studies evaluating power plants and delivery systems.
• Contribute to power supply planning, due diligence, performance benchmarking and investment planning.
• Participate in site assessments, cost/benefit evaluations and renewable development.
