Job summary

Builders Vision is seeking a Program Officer to join the Builders Vision Philanthropy (BVP) team, with a focus on Energy.

This role designs and implements the newly approved Energy Transition program focused on clean energy and industrial decarbonization, reporting to and partnering with the Director for Clean Energy Philanthropy, defining goals and strategies, and building a robust pipeline of grant opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of philanthropic, consulting, investing, corporate sustainability, or related experience.
  • Experience in clean energy or industrial decarbonization strongly preferred.
  • Strong relationships with energy sector stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead complex projects and manage strategies with metrics.
  • Bachelor’s and advanced degree, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support grant approval processes and assist with funding recommendations.
  • Monitor performance of funded organizations and review reports.
  • Serve as primary contact with grantees and advise on program success.
  • Conduct market analysis for grant opportunities and participate in cross-BV discussions.
  • Represent BV in energy discussions and support strategic planning with the Director.
  • Provide periodic reporting on program status and outcomes.
  • Build and deepen relationships with grantees and partners.
