Job summary

Hexagon Agility in Salisbury, NC seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer driving energy transformation. You will work with enterprise business areas to drive lean manufacturing, standard work, and cost reductions while advancing sustainable processes in the transport sector.

The role requires a bachelor's in industrial engineering, 2–5 years of manufacturing process design and continuous improvement experience, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing process design and continuous improvement experience.
• Experience in the automotive industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive process improvements, compliance standards and strategies for consistent, repeatable, and flawless execution.
• Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to help ensure streamlined processes to create a sustainable, lean organization.
• Analyze ambiguous problems utilizing lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, standard work, Six Sigma, 5S and other lean tools.
• Manage and lead multiple Continuous Improvement/Industrial Engineering projects with minimal oversight.
• Develop and implement project plans to achieve Future State.
• Lead Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and other Continuous Improvement activities ensuring projects are on budget and on schedule.
• Conduct time studies, develop and document work standards, and maximize line balancing to optimize workflow and drive throughput and productivity improvements.
• Develop/implement metrics supporting lean manufacturing to track process improvements and cost reductions.
• Develop standards for process confirmation using sustainable problem solving.
• Support and execute training of others with focus on lean techniques.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
