You will partner with front and mid office, Treasury, Tax, and IT to implement improvements and ensure accurate financial statements. The role emphasizes project leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering frictionless accounting for new business initiatives, with close involvement during month-end and quarter-end

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• CPA license or eligible to sit for the exam preferred.
• 7–10 years’ experience in corporate accounting.
• Energy industry experience and project management a plus; SAP and RightAngle experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stay apprised of future commercial opportunities and build accounting processes.
• Collaborate with front office traders and schedulers to resolve pain points and manage the project with IT.
• Audit processes and financial statements to improve controls.
• Assist with close activities at month, quarter, and year-end.
• Manage accounting aspects of new or upgraded software implementations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
