Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ to 8+ years of related legal experience.
• Background in title examination and oil & gas transactions, including lease, easement or purchase agreement drafting.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and writing skills.
• Strong academic background.
• Licensed to practice in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota or Wisconsin (depending on location) and ability to obtain North Dakota license.

Responsibilities

• Examine title records and determine ownership of surface, mineral and leasehold interests.
• Research and analyze complex title issues across numerous land tracts.
• Draft complex title opinions for oil & gas and real estate projects.
• Support energy clients including operators, developers and utilities.
