Job summary

Amazon AWS Energy team seeks a self-starter to define and execute a power strategy for AWS data centers across the Americas. You will manage energy infrastructure projects, coordinate with utilities, EPCs and internal stakeholders to meet capacity, cost, and reliability goals.

The role requires experience in high voltage systems, energy contracts, and strategic energy sourcing, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Business or other technical field is required.
• 3+ years of power transaction or contracting experience in US energy markets; Financial modeling experience is required.
• 2+ years managing multiple million-dollar power infrastructure contracts with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for AWS data centers for AMER regions.
• Manage Utilities, EPC and Owner's Engineers to deliver MV and HV power infrastructure, including negotiations.
• Develop and execute energy strategies to reduce long-term energy costs including capital budgets for electrical infrastructure.
• Execute electricity supply contracts that create new clean energy capacity on the grid and reduce cost.
