Job summary

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is seeking a Distributed Energy Storage Lead Analyst in the Energy Division. This role leads the wind-down of SGIP and drives statewide programs for distributed energy storage and storage-paired solar, focusing on policy development and program implementation.

You will collaborate across divisions, conduct complex research, manage work products, and organize stakeholder input to inform proceedings and legislative proposals.

Qualifications

• SOQ is required and must be two pages, no smaller than 11-point Arial font, single-spaced.
• SOQ must address three questions: project management, communication to decision-makers, and independent research and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of critical statewide programs in distributed customer generation.
• Conduct original research on highly complex and technical problems; manage work products and lead teams.
• Organize stakeholder meetings and workshops; summarize positions on policy proposals; assist Administrative Law Judges.
• Develop recommendations for policy-setting rulemakings and oversee program implementation from CPUC and legislative processes.
