Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Staff Finance Associate - Energy in San Francisco to own BOM cost models for energy storage products and to drive cost insights across the supply chain.

You will develop should-cost benchmarks, support pricing and sourcing decisions, perform bottom-up analyses in Excel, and translate complex technical data into clear financial guidance for engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in supply chain, manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience in global or commodity management roles.
• Strong BOM cost modelling and should-cost analysis knowledge.
• Understanding of supplier pricing and cost drivers.
• Advanced Excel and bottom-up cost analyses.
• Ability to translate technical data into financial insights.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain BOM cost models for energy storage products across materials, cells, modules, power electronics, and packaging.
• Develop should-cost models to benchmark pricing against market rates and internal expectations.
• Identify and support cost-reduction opportunities across the supply chain, incl. supplier negotiations and make-vs-buy analyses.
• Analyze supplier cost structures, terms, and logistics to support sourcing decisions and risk management.
• Build financial models linking procurement and manufacturing to margins and unit economics.
• Partner with engineering, procurement, operations to support pricing and supply chain strategy.
• Translate complex technical information into clear financial insights and recommendations.
