Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking an Energy Storage Engineer for a remote, 1-year contract with WECTEC Staffing Services. The role involves planning, designing, and executing energy storage projects, reporting to the onsite manager, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver a best‑in‑class product.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Solar/PV engineering or construction, strong knowledge of power electronics and battery storage design, and familiarity with safety

Qualifikationen

3+ years experience Solar/PV engineering and/or construction.
Expertise in power electronics and battery storage system design.
Familiarity with energy storage technologies including battery chemistries, power conversion units and DC/DC converters.
Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections).
Ability to handle specialized technical tasks.

Aufgaben

Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects.
Identify inconsistencies in engineering drawings and take corrective action for better design quality.
Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts.
Support projects from inception to completion with project managers.
Influence project teams on engineering tasks.
Travel 25% of the time for project specific responsibilities.
