Job summary

Valley Wide Cooperative in Cascade, Idaho seeks a full-time Service Technician to install and service propane tanks and systems at residential and commercial sites. The role includes crane truck operation, gas appliances installation, and HVAC maintenance while adhering to safety codes.

You will stay updated with state and local codes, perform inspections, and participate in trainings. On-call availability and strong communication with customers and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL required; HAZMAT and tanker endorsements preferred.
• Must be available to work on call hours.
• Clean driving record with all applicable endorsements required; experience with fast-paced delivery preferred.
• Must have strong communication skills; communicate professionally with managers, customers, vendors and public.
• Must maintain customer service levels and show good decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Install and service propane tanks and systems at residential and commercial locations, including crane operations for tanks.
• Install gas appliances such as fireplaces, heaters, and water heaters.
• Perform HVAC maintenance on appliances.
• Stay current with state and local codes.
• Perform safety inspections on new and existing systems as required by code.
• Attend trainings to stay current with industry changes.
• Assist with new account sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $28.00 To $38.00 Hourly

The position of a Service Technician is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. A person in this position is accountable for installation and maintenance for cooperative energy customers. This position is responsible for performing all services in a safe and timely manner. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Looking to fill this position in Cascade, Donnelly and/or McCall.

Job Summary:

These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently.

• Responsible for installing and servicing propane tanks and propane systems at residential and commercial locations, including safely operating a crane service truck to install and pick up tanks, digging trenches, installing gas piping and regulators, etc..
• Responsible for installing gas operated appliances, such as fireplaces, heaters, and hot water heaters.
• Perform HVAC maintenance service on appliances.
• Responsible for staying current with all state and local applicable codes.
• Perform proper safety inspections on both new and existing systems as required by code.
• Attend available trainings to stay current with changes in the industry.
• Assist with new account sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:
