Valley Wide Cooperative is seeking an Energy Area Service Technician Lead in Nampa, ID. You will lead a team of service technicians, install propane tanks and gas appliances, and perform HVAC maintenance while ensuring safety and code compliance. Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a Service Technician.
• Class B CDL required; HAZMAT and tanker endorsements preferred.
• Maintain current license applicable to the position.
• Must be available to work on call hours.
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate professionally with managers, customers and staff.
• Ability to make decisions and execute per policy.
• Maintain professional image and customer service levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage Service Technicians within the assigned area.
• Install propane tanks, including digging trenches and gas piping.
• Install gas-operated appliances such as fireplaces, heaters, and water heaters.
• Perform HVAC maintenance service on appliances.
• Stay current with state and local codes.
• Conduct safety inspections on new and existing systems.
• Attend trainings to stay updated with industry changes.
• Assist with new account sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Oversee a team within a specified Area/Region.

The position of an Area Service Technician Lead is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. A person in this position is accountable for Managing Service Technicians in their areas as well as installation and maintenance for cooperative energy customers. This position is responsible for performing all services in a safe and timely manner. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Job Summary:

These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently.

• Responsible for managing Service Technicians within assigned area.
• Responsible for installing propane tanks, including digging trenches and installing gas piping.
• Responsible for installing gas operated appliances, such as fireplaces, heaters, and hot water heaters.
• Perform HVAC maintenance service on appliances.
• Responsible for staying current with all state and local applicable codes.
• Perform proper safety inspections on both new and existing systems as required by code.
• Attend available trainings to stay current with changes in the industry.
• Assist with new account sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Oversee a team within a specified Area/Region

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Service Technician
• Class B CDL required, HAZMAT and tanker endorsements preferred.
• Maintain current license that apply to the position.
• Must be available to work on call hours.
• Clean driving record with all applicable endorsements required experience with fast-paced delivery experience preferred.
• Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors, and general public.
• Must be able to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy.
• Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service throughout the store.
• Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
