Job summary

CenterPoint Energy is seeking a Service Consultant Intern in Houston to gain hands-on experience in the utility industry and learn how to manage customer distribution projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals to understand how we deliver reliable energy solutions and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Interns will collaborate with multiple departments and external partners to gather project details, assist in preparing estimates, and learn how to design

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree with concentration in construction science, construction management, engineering technology, business, or marketing.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

Work with multiple departments, customers, municipalities, outside consulting firms, and other utilities to gather information to execute projects accurately and timely.
Collaborate with city, county, and state entities to effectively service customers.
Gather project information, prepare estimates, and analyze data and designs electrical and/or gas distribution facilities.
Represent the company in service extension negotiations related to service locations.
