Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Boiler Operator to support the operation and maintenance of a waste-to-energy recovery system within a manufacturing environment. You will monitor and operate incineration equipment, utility systems, and related plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations.

The role combines process operations, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and utility support in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing or process environment.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with control room operations and process monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor incineration equipment and utility systems to ensure efficient plant performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
• Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Monitor process conditions and adjust to maintain system performance.
• Support control room operations and process monitoring activities.
• Conduct equipment inspections and identify reliability concerns.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
• Support compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
