Job summary
Penn State is seeking an Energy Quality Specialist for PennTAP to provide technical leadership, quality assurance, and standardization of energy assessment reports for industrial clients. You will review calculations, verify that savings estimates are supported by data and engineering principles, and help maintain program consistency across Pennsylvania.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of industrial energy systems, manufacturing processes, utility systems, and energy efficiency technologies.
- Experience reviewing technical reports, engineering analyses, and energy calculations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quality assurance skills.
Responsibilities
- Review energy assessment reports, calculations, and technical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Verify that recommendations and savings estimates are supported by data, engineering principles, and applicable standards.
- Evaluate energy conservation measures (ECMs) and process improvement opportunities for technical validity and practical implementation.
- Identify quality issues and provide feedback to advisors to improve deliverables.
- Research and resolve complex technical challenges and consult industry resources or subject matter experts as needed.
