Job summary
The Pennsylvania State University seeks an Energy Quality Specialist to lead technical review and quality assurance for PennTAP energy assessments. You will standardize reports, calculations, and deliverables to align with PennTAP methodologies and client needs.
Reporting to the Associate Director, you will support staff development, drive continuous improvement, and ensure credible energy services for manufacturers and industrial clients across Pennsylvania.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of industrial energy systems, manufacturing processes, utility systems, and energy efficiency technologies.
- Experience reviewing technical reports, engineering analyses, and energy calculations.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and quality assurance skills.
Responsibilities
- Review energy assessment reports, calculations, and technical documentation for accuracy and consistency.
- Verify that recommendations and savings estimates are supported by data and standards.
- Evaluate ECMs and process improvements for technical validity and practicality.
- Identify quality issues and provide feedback to advisors to improve deliverables.
- Develop and maintain QC procedures, templates, and tools.
- Support onboarding, training, and mentorship of advisors.
