Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a proposal engineer to develop cost-efficient control system proposals for hydroelectric, solar, and wind projects. You will coordinate global engineers and review specifications to deliver accurate, timely proposals that maximize profit and minimize risk.

The role requires an engineering degree, 2+ years of related experience, and travel up to 10%. Experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA and cost estimation is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA).
• Experience in hydroelectric, solar, battery storage (BESS), and/or wind industries.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
• Experience writing proposals and developing cost estimates is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering, automation, networking, and business skills.
• Ensure proposal preparation is accurate and timely.
• Prepare control system proposals in response to customer requests, interpreting specifications and drawings.
• Create best-cost solutions that meet customer needs, minimize risk, and maximize profit.
• Present costs, risks, and differentiators to key decision makers.
• Review purchase orders to ensure they accurately reflect the proposed scope.
• Coordinate global engineers and subject-matter experts in proposal development.
• Position project execution teams for success.
