Job summary

Inter-American Development Bank is seeking a consultant to support the Energy (ENE) department in preparing, designing, and approving operations such as loans, investment grants, and technical co‑operations. You will also research energy topics, procure studies, and draft documents to execute operations.

You will work in the Infrastructure and Energy division, contributing to sector policies, strategies, and guidance while coordinating studies and ensuring adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, renewable energy or related field.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in identification and preparation of operations such as loans, investment grants and TCs.
• Provide technical advice to energy operations and perform quality control of documents.
• Prepare and monitor project preparation timelines and update project information in systems.
• Participate in quality review meetings, missions and negotiations; prepare briefs on project status.
• Ensure energy projects comply with environmental and processing policies.
