Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager and Team Lead with 10+ years of combined technical and PM experience in energy projects. The role spans inception to completion with a broad technical background across power generation technologies.

You will lead a team, drive business development, coordinate multidisciplinary groups, and help grow the energy practice across locations. Flexible remote/hybrid/office option; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 10+ years combined technical and project management experience in energy generation projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure and willingness to obtain licensure in other states.
• Proven track record in business development, client management, and proposal leadership.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies including change management, tools, and software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage energy projects through planning, permitting, development, design, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Lead, manage, and grow existing team of civil engineers.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across internal units (high voltage, SCADA, piping, etc.).
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, scopes with quality standards for successful delivery.
• Lead proposal development and manage awarded projects to meet financial and performance goals.
• Serve as primary client liaison and maintain strong relationships throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities leveraging industry contacts.
• Oversee negotiations, risk management, and compliance with codes and regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and regulatory requirements related to energy projects.
• Support continuous professional development and safe work practices.
