Cupertino Electric, Inc. in San Jose, CA, seeks an Assistant Project Manager - Energy (Estimating to Traveling) to train with the Energy division's Estimating team, intending to convert to an onsite traveling PM role.

During training, collaborate with Preconstruction, Project Managers, Purchasing, and Engineering; Estimator handles utility-scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System estimates, including RFQ/RFP reviews and take-offs.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred.
Three or more years as Project Engineer in electrical construction; five+ years overall.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship.
Experience with electrical estimating and change order pricing.

Responsabilités

Lead team meetings and guide Project Engineers/Coordinators with Project Manager and field team.
Coordinate with scheduling to gather data for CEI schedule.
Identify cost impacts from RFIs, submittals and design changes; notify promptly.
Price change orders for PM review and approval.
Manage closeout documents for projects.
Coordinate commissioning with 3rd parties; track open items.
Maintain strong vendor/subcontractor relationships and ensure timely material releases.
