Job summary

PurposeEnergy is seeking a Project Developer to lead all aspects of site development for anaerobic digester plants, guiding the design-development process from sales to execution. You will act as the primary client-facing manager, driving milestones, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable history of successful real estate closings, entitlements, permits, or similar energy real estate milestones.
• 4+ years in real estate development, project management, and energy project development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with collaboration across teams.
• Analytical, solution-focused mindset with ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Locate properties for digester plants, assess availability, evaluate feasibility with engineers, negotiate pricing.
• Lead entitlement and site permitting processes including zoning, variances, and site development permits.
• Secure environmental permits such as wastewater and air quality permits as needed.
• Identify and manage attorneys through LOIs, purchase agreements, title due diligence, and closings.
• Coordinate site due diligence including traffic, geotechnical analysis, and surveys.
• Create and manage schedules and budgets for design, development, and permitting through construction start.
• Oversee utility connections and interconnection schedules, including gas and biogas arrangements.
• Coordinate with sales, finance, design, and construction teams as client-facing project lead.
• Prepare internal funding documents and coordinate with other functions.
