Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage goods and services for Regulated and Renewable Energy. Qualifications

• Bachelors degree + 2 years work experience or equivalent
• Advanced planning, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytics skills
• MS Office; Maximo experience is a plus to support procurement processes

Responsibilities

• Provides procurement services including pricing/quantity validation, RFQs, terms, POs, contracts, expediting, logistics, invoicing.
• Promotes procurement cost savings and inventory reduction.
• Guides the business unit on procurement processes and best sourcing options.
• Develops supplier relationships and ensures compliance with supplier agreements to realize value-added benefits.
• Interacts with suppliers and liaises between suppliers and the business unit.
• Demonstrates strong business unit and supplier focus and builds relationships.
• Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and Duke Energy standards.
• Analyzes supplier performance and manages reporting.
• Supports safety culture and continuous improvement.
