Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist to lead sourcing and contracting for large spend equipment and labor for generation projects, including thermal, hydro, and renewables. This role sits in the Major Projects and Renewables team and reports to the Director Sourcing, Major Projects.

Plan strategies, analyze markets, and manage supplier relationships while advising leaders on sourcing options. Hybrid work option with Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC locations and 15–25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related work experience, or an Associate's with 4+ years, or HS with 6+ years.
• Senior-level requires 5+ years related work experience or equivalent combinations as listed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and execute sourcing strategies for equipment, professional services, construction services and EPC contracts.
• Perform market analysis and research best practices adopted by other industries and companies.
• Provide guidance to Business Unit and Supply Chain leaders on market conditions and options.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships and programs.
• Build and nurture client relationships, including executive level interfaces.
