Job summary

Meta's Global Energy Team is seeking an experienced energy professional to manage renewable energy and carbon reduction contracts across construction, development, and operations. You will oversee contract compliance, support negotiations, monitor project progress, and enforce terms on cost, RECs, and performance.

You will coordinate with legal, finance, accounting, purchasing, and other stakeholders to surface issues and drive contract execution.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects and understanding performance metrics.
• Experience drafting official correspondence with counterparties and developing partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with G-Suite, Salesforce, AI tooling.
• Experience building cross-functional relationships and managing 3rd Party Vendors.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data.

• Create, maintain, update and track documents and data related to renewable energy projects.
• Track counterparty compliance with contract deliverables.
• Review invoicing and reporting for renewable energy project contracts, and ensure RECs, costs and project performance align with terms.
• Respond to counterparty inquiries and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and other issues.
• Manage approval and signature process for contract documents after execution.
• Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations.

Summary:

Meta's Global Energy Team is seeking a experienced energy professional to manage clean and renewable energy contracts as well as carbon reduction contracts throughout the construction, development, and operational project phases. In this role, you will be a key contributor to Meta's Global Energy Team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of renewable energy and carbon reduction contracts including: all contract compliance items, supporting contract negotiation, monitoring project development status, monitoring project construction status, coordinating contract amendments, maintaining contract documents and data, and enforcing contract terms and conditions regarding cost, RECs and performance. You will also be responsible for monitoring financial and operational project performance metrics on a budget versus actual basis.

1. 8+ years of experience in clean energy contracts and/or asset management, renewable energy origination, or energy project operations

2. Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems

3. Experience communicating complex contractual and technical issues to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., through executive summaries, briefing documents, or status reports)

4. Proven experience managing operational utility-scale generation and storage assets

5. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

6. Experience developing portfolio-level reporting and dashboards

7. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

8. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

Public Compensation:

$132,000/year to $188,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
