Job summary

Meta's Global Energy Team, Clean Energy Asset Management, seeks an experienced professional to manage a portfolio of clean energy contracts and associated carbon agreements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, energy, or environmental science or similar field.
• 5+ years in clean energy contract management, procurement, or energy project operations.

• Experience drafting official correspondence and building partnerships with suppliers/internal stakeholders.
• Experience with G Suite, Excel, Word, Tableau; strong cross-functional relationship building.
• Ability to communicate complex contractual/technical issues to leadership and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated usage of AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact.
• 8+ years in clean energy contracts, asset management, or related fields.
• Experience tracking utility-scale generation and interconnection/permitting/EPC milestones.
• Familiarity with CLM systems and responsible AI practices.

Job description

In this role, you will be a key contributor to Meta's Global Energy Team, specifically the Clean Energy Asset Management Team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clean and renewable energy contracts and as needed, carbon reduction or carbon removal agreements, including: supporting/leading negotiations for amendments, ensuring contract compliance, monitoring project development and construction status, and reporting on financial and operational performance for operating projects. You will have the opportunity to master contract details, analyze financial and operational project performance, resolve disputes, and propose solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the ongoing owner for all of Meta's executed clean energy and carbon credit requirements
• Create, maintain, update documents and data related to clean and renewable energy contracts
• Track counterparty compliance with contract milestones and other deliverables
• Respond to counterparty inquiries and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and other issues as needed
• Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations
• Track and analyze clean energy operational project performance
• Track and analyze renewable energy financial project performance
• Track project progress through development and construction milestones, and lead risk reporting against schedule and forecast
• Manage the approval and signature process for contract documents after execution
• Support invoicing and reporting on clean energy contracts, and ensure that RECs, costs, and project performance are consistent with contract terms and conditions
• Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, accounting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable, and other key stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, energy, or environmental science, paralegal studies, or a similar field
• 5+ years of experience in clean energy contract management, renewable energy procurement, or energy project operations at organizations such as a corporate renewable energy buyer, IPP, owner operator, electric utility, energy supplier, or an energy-intensive industrial or consumer company
• Experience in managing a portfolio of renewable energy contracts, especially wind and solar energy supply contracts
• Experience drafting official correspondence between counterparties and experience developing and maintaining partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Experience with G Suite, Excel, Word, and Tableau
• Experience in building cross-functional relationships
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data Experience developing portfolio-level reporting and dashboards
• Experience communicating complex contractual and technical issues to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., through executive summaries, briefing documents, or status reports)
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to optimize and redesign workflows, driving measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• 8+ years of experience in clean energy contracts and/or asset management, renewable energy origination, or energy project operations
• Proven experience in tracking utility-scale generation and storage development and construction milestones, including interconnection, permitting, and EPC schedules
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems
