Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an Energy Performance Engineer to evaluate and commission energy systems across campus facilities. You will utilize fault detection software and data analytics to identify issues, drive energy savings, and coordinate retrofit efforts with internal teams and contractors.

The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering background with 5+ years in energy engineering, and familiarity with Clockworks, Siemens, and Trane platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in Energy Engineering, BAS engineering, Commissioning, or related field.
  • Experience with building automation and commercial HVAC operation.
  • Experience with Clockworks or similar fault detection software.
  • Certification in Energy Management or HVAC Commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review energy system fault history using Clockworks to identify issues.
  • Ensure energy data trends are collected and stored properly.
  • Identify energy saving opportunities and develop action plans.
  • Assist in development of energy conservation measures.
  • Monitor data to verify ECM performance and savings.
