Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in equity research in the energy and materials sectors
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA, CFA designation preferred
• Applicable securities licenses or registrations, or ability to obtain within a timeframe
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, scenario analysis, and investment recommendation capabilities
• Experience in buy-side, sell-side, or institutional investment environments preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on sectors, industries, and companies, including financial analysis, valuation, earnings assessment, competitive positioning, and investment thesis development
• Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, price targets, risk assessments, and investment recommendations that support portfolio construction and security selection decisions
• Partner with portfolio managers and investment leadership to provide timely insights on portfolio holdings and changes
• Develop high-quality research reports, earnings updates, sector commentary, and presentations for internal stakeholders
• Support advisor engagement activities, educational events, webinars, and due diligence discussions by translating complex analysis into clear investment perspectives
• Maintain documentation, governance, and compliance practices across all research activities
