Job summary

East Daley Analytics in Greenwood Village, CO is seeking a Research Engineer to empower the Equity Research team with scalable tools. You will turn data into actionable models, automate workflows, and build AI-assisted solutions for evaluating energy markets and company performance.

You will collaborate with analysts, own projects end-to-end, and contribute to data pipelines, AI integration, and client-facing outputs while advancing energy-market insights and investment implications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• Demonstrated use of Python and SQL to solve real analytical problems.
• Demonstrated use of generative AI to improve workflows.
• Understanding of relational databases and data transformations.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into working technical solutions.
• Experience turning raw data into tools, models, or analytics.

Responsibilities

• Work with Equity Research analysts to understand workflows and bottlenecks.
• Own solutions from problem definition through deployment and iteration.
• Build tools and automations reducing manual data work.
• Develop data pipelines, scrapers, transformations, and analytical models using Python and SQL.
• Connect asset, production, flow, contract, infrastructure, and financial data.
• Translate outputs into market, financial, and investment implications.
