East Daley Analytics seeks a skilled software engineer to design and own a versioned API and the query layer for its data platform. You will ensure robust, scalable access for dashboards and agent-driven queries, while collaborating with the Data Team on SQL foundations.

The role emphasizes production-grade APIs, observability, and secure access, with responsibilities extending from API contracts to live dashboards and data visualization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Designed and operated an API consumed by other teams.
• Maintained a schema across language boundaries with additive evolution.
• Golden-file and snapshot testing of generated output.
• Daily AI-assisted development to boost velocity.
• End-to-end ownership from ambiguous requests to shipped features.
• Bachelor's in CS or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the API and query layer, including versioning, endpoints, and filtering.
• Support the front-end dashboards by ensuring API coverage and readability of data structures.
• Operate dashboards in production with caching, auth, rate limiting, and observability.
• Collaborate with Data Team on SQL foundations and data models.
