About The Role

As a CBRE Energy Manager, you will assist with managing the team responsible for the development and execution of energy management programs.

This job is a part of the Energy and Sustainability functional area which focuses on the development and implementation of environmental and social sustainability programs.

What You’ll Do

Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department target dates. Mentor and coach as needed.

Build and maintain knowledge of current legal and market changes relating to compliance.

Connect with agencies on internal and external forums.

Implement strategies and programs to reach client goals.

Suggest improvements through the identification and implementation of opportunities across multiple real estate portfolios.

Integrate knowledge of energy procurement and new technologies with company platforms. Guide improved energy and sustainability performance.

Partner with facility managers to deliver environmental sustainability advice. Present periodic energy and sustainability status and basic variance reports to clients.

Verify global energy and sustainability standards are consistently upheld.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

Apply knowledge of own field and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and sophisticated issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. CEM and LEED accreditation, preferred.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.
  • Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job field and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
