Job description
Design and perform the installation of hardware to collect data from factory equipment, including energy meters, sensors, and gateways.
Connect industrial equipment (machines, utilities, electrical panels, etc.) to data systems using standard industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet, etc. ).
Work with factory teams to identify where and how to measure energy and equipment data, then provide the Bill of Materials to purchase necessary hardware/cables/sensors/etc.
Support on-site commissioning and troubleshooting of sensors, meters, and data connections.
Act as a technical bridge between factory OT teams and FPT software teams.
Nice to Have
Experience building or working with Energy Management Systems (EMS).
Experience building or working with Energy (gas, power, water) Analytic, Reporting and AI related features.
Familiarity with carbon emissions calculations and sustainability reporting (Scope 2 emissions).
Experience with cloud or edge platforms (AWS or Azure IoT, Kepware, etc.).
Knowledge of MES or billing systems and their integration with IOT system and data.
Background in manufacturing, energy, or discrete industries.
