Job summary

ARB, Inc. seeks a Field Engineer to support on-site construction operations across California and neighboring states on energy infrastructure projects. You will provide technical oversight under supervision, ensuring compliance with design specs and safety standards.

Responsibilities include handling submittals and RFIs, maintaining schedules and records, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors, and contributing to cost control and quality assurance throughout the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or similar discipline from a four-year college or university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of P6 and MS Project scheduling platforms.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Travel flexibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, review, and transmittal of project submittals and RFIs.
• Follow quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that the design, specifications, and standards are understood by the craft.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that arise on-site and consult with engineers, subcontractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions to minimize schedule and cost impacts.
• Support cost control with coding of timesheets and invoices.
• Track quantities and monitor progress of various work packages.
• Provide planning and scheduling input as required.
• Track and compile records of materials, equipment, and labor for any/all change orders and field orders.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports throughout the project.
• Attend project meetings to provide technical input and present recommendations to improve construction processes.
