Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, Houston, TX, seeks Managers with deep Finance & Accounting experience in the Energy sector to support private equity and corporate clients. Our F&A professionals work with CFOs to address critical business challenges and drive performance improvements.

You will lead workstreams, develop actionable recommendations, and mentor junior staff while collaborating across industry and transactional teams. Travel is required and the role offers competitive compensation.

Qualifications

4–8+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, public accounting, and/or industry roles with a focus on Finance & Accounting
Demonstrated energy industry knowledge with sector-specific finance and accounting experience
CPA required and strong knowledge of GAAP
Experience with end-to-end finance processes and finance transformation
Strong communication and client-facing experience

Responsibilities

Lead F&A transformation and performance improvement engagements for energy sector clients
Manage workstreams and project teams to deliver high-quality outputs
Collaborate with CFOs and senior stakeholders to develop actionable solutions
Assess finance organizations and operating models to identify improvement opportunities
Develop client-ready presentations and ensure delivery quality
