Job summary

Exelon seeks a mid-level attorney in its Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) practice to provide full legal services to clients under supervision. You will perform research, prepare contracts and briefs, and handle non-routine assignments.

Responsibilities include advising on FERC matters, understanding client business, and budgeting matters with outside counsel while leveraging AI-enabled tools under guidance.

Qualifications

  • An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical abilities and knowledge of federal/state law as required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs broad and moderately complex legal assignments in the area of FERC regulations and policies.
  • Assists more experienced attorneys in representing Exelon in agency proceedings and/or relevant litigation.
  • Advise clients with respect to all legal and FERC compliance matters.
  • Develop an understanding of each assigned client’s business and business philosophy.
