Job summary

ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider seeking a PUBLIC POLICY Analyst- Energy and Environment to support federal clients on policy development and implementation.

The role involves working with agencies such as the EPA, DOI, and NRC, drafting and editing regulatory documents, synthesizing technical information, and supporting rulemaking processes while maintaining rigorous standards and deadlines in a remote or hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, environmental policy, or related subjects.
• Bachelor’s degree plus at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for federal contracts.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a moderate-level government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with clients within EPA, DOI, NRC and other agencies.
• Assist in drafting, formatting, and editing documents related to federal rulemakings.
• Synthesize information from rulemaking documents, literature, and reports.
• Analyze and summarize public comments on proposed rules.
• Attend intra-agency meetings and support clearance processes.
• Assess costs and benefits of proposed regulations.
• Draft regulatory language, reports, manuals, and guidance.
• Work on multiple projects for multiple clients.
