Job summary

Southland Industries seeks motivated interns and new graduates for its Energy Engineering internship program in California. You will join the Design/Build team to gain hands-on experience across energy audits, data collection, and energy modeling.

You will assist senior engineers with field audits, data logger setup, and energy reports, building practical skills while contributing to real projects. Potential for full-time employment exists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Energy, or Mechanical Engineering; related coursework in energy systems or energy efficiency is highly desirable.
• Strong work ethic and proactive mindset.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure with limited supervision.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior resources with field audits, data logger installation, and data collection.
• Support energy audits to identify and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Assist in planning and conducting building energy analyses and reports.
