Job summary

EV.Careers seeks a full-time Energy Engineer to lead on-site and remote technical execution across metering, systems integration, and data dashboards for energy monitoring deployments in the Pacific Northwest.

You will design metering schemes, perform audits, commission systems, onboard dashboards, and guide post-deployment troubleshooting with customers, using BACnet and Modbus protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or 5+ years field experience).
• Minimum three years in energy engineering, energy efficiency, commissioning, or building/facility systems.
• Experience with energy metering, submetering, or building automation/data systems.
• Working knowledge of BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, and Modbus TCP/RTU.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site technical work across the project lifecycle: audits, metering design, system commissioning, and post-deployment support.
• Design submetering and energy data acquisition systems across electric, gas, and water.
• Analyze utility, interval, and submeter data to translate insights and recommendations.
• Lead dashboard onboarding and customer demos; manage post-deployment consulting.
• Own commissioning of metering and monitoring systems; resolve field and remote issues.
• Develop technical deliverables and coordinate with Project Management and vendors.
