Position Summary
This position provides expert technical support to customers and trade allies, offering energy advice and coordination services for energy efficiency programs. Responsibilities include advising on building maintenance, lighting, controls, HVAC systems, and more. The role is remote on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and in-office on Wednesday and Thursday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and building owners, developers, architects, engineers, and contractors to promote energy efficiency programs.
- Identify on-site opportunities for energy efficiency during building design and construction; follow up with customers as needed.
- Participate in QA/QC and internal audits.
- Analyze utility bills to identify energy usage trends.
- Promote and influence the installation of energy efficiency measures.
- Prepare reports and presentations.
- Discuss technical aspects of energy-consuming equipment to support business case development.
- Manage data related to energy savings and current projects, collaborating with team members.
- Develop understanding of program strategies and customer business activities.
- Stay current on new energy-saving technologies.
- Serve as a technical resource for colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality policies, OSHA regulations.
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Industrial).
- 3-5 years related engineering experience.
- 2-3 years in the energy efficiency industry.
- Experience in building design, green construction, and sustainable design preferred.
- Certifications like Energy Manager, LEED AP, CEM, VPI, PE/FE are preferred.
