Job summary

SLSCO, Ltd. seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to supervise in-home energy efficiency projects under HOMES and HEAR programs.

You will monitor installation of HVAC, insulation, and building envelope, ensure QA/QC, and collaborate with subcontractors and program teams to meet quality standards and schedules. Ideal candidates bring energy auditing, building science, and weatherization knowledge, with strong leadership, communication, and a willingness to travel to various job sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of construction experience with at least 2 years in managerial/supervisory roles.
• Minimum 2 years in services/quality control or energy efficiency/utility experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of legal and safety standards.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to different job sites.
• Bi-lingual a plus.
• HUD CDBG or HUD CDBG-DR experience a plus.
• OSHA 30hr certification.
• Driver's License required.
• Certification as a BPI Building Analyst or RESNET HERS Rater, or ability to acquire within first 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Manager.
• Effectively communicate with applicants, contractors and team members.
• Inspect jobs per approved policies, plans, change orders, or revisions.
• Maintain positive relationships with all program participants.
• Coordinate feedback to all parties involved including subcontractors and Project Manager.
• Provide timely notifications to the Project Manager of schedule deviations.
• Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and report unsafe conditions.
• Ensure project documents are completed, collected, and signed promptly.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and data collection duties.
• Perform residential site visits to verify installation of HVAC, insulation, windows, lighting, appliances, and building envelope.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools (blower doors, combustion analyzers, infrared cameras).
• Input field-verified data into provided software.
• Perform installation inspections to verify completion and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and program requirements.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, utility representatives, and program managers.
• Maintain accurate records and submit documentation timely.
• Other duties as assigned.
