Job summary

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) seeks a Buildings Energy Research Engineer/Scientist to join the Building Systems Group. You will lead evaluation studies of residential and commercial building energy technologies, perform field validation, and help develop plans to improve efficiency, reliability, and resiliency of building systems.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in building science, mechanical engineering, architectural engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• MS/MA in building science, mechanical engineering, architectural engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• PhD in building science, mechanical engineering, architectural or related field with 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Experience leading energy efficiency program impact and/or process evaluations for utility or government clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead tasks and coordinate data collection with sponsors and subcontractors to complete work on time and within budget.
• Present program results to clients; travel up to 25% may be required.
• Attend conferences and support energy storage education in public forums and via invited presentations.
