Job summary

Guidehouse’s Energy & Environment group seeks a junior analyst to support federal energy-efficiency projects. You will conduct fact-finding, analyze technology trends, and help model performance of advanced technologies for U.S. agencies. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is expected.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 0–1 year of related experience, and willingness to travel up to 10%. Arlington, VA area candidates preferred; US citizenship is a must.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen due to client engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or similar discipline.
• 0–1 year of directly related working experience.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to operate a computer and office equipment.
• Ability to regularly use close visual acuity to prepare and transmit data.
• Ability to work in an office environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing detailed fact finding, research, and analysis of energy efficiency-related topics.
• Assessing technologies and analyzing technology trends.
• Modeling the performance of advanced technologies.
• Performing statistical analyses; data collection; spreadsheet creation and management.
• Developing test methods to help characterize the energy use of various appliances.
• Reviewing international test methods and procedures currently used by industry.
• Preparing reports, presentations and other documents for clients.
